The Formation of Rialto

Rialto Investment Partners Limited was formed in October 2020 by Luke Smith and Oliver Mourant.

Their vision is to create a boutique private equity firm in Jersey and build a portfolio of local trading companies, at levels not traditionally touched by mainstream private equity or institutional investment, often and simply down to the size and nature of the transaction and the associated risks.

Rialto supports business owners who have created well-performing, sustainable organisations but find they have limited options when looking for succession planning, or when they want to exit. Too small for institutional investments, too big for management buyouts, with trade sales not always an option, these 'owner/managers' need a different solution to maximise the value they have spent years creating.

Rialto provides an option to this market, helping businesses to improve their existing performance and achieve good value when and if they sell.

Both Luke and Oliver have a range of experience in supporting and running successful businesses, with exceptional skills sets in innovative financial management and transforming operations from the inside out. They both have an energetic, creative approach, that is focused on delivering value.
